LE CHÂTEAU DE CHENONCEAU
Built in the 16th century, this is one of the purest early French Renaissance style works.
Constructed on the foundations of an ancient fortified water mill in the river bed itself, the square main building forms the original Château. On the “Pont de Diane” bridge stands the two level gallery of Catherine de Medici.
A stroll through the French gardens makes a pleasant end to your visit.
LE CHÂTEAU D’AMBOISE
This medieval fortress gave way to a royal residence during the reigns of King Charles VIII and François I during the late 15th and early 16th centuries. The Court at Amboise was host to scholars and artists from around Europe, who came to stay at the invitation of the sovereign. One of these was no less than Leonardo da Vinci, whose tomb is to be found in the chapel.
After, your visit of the tomb, we then enjoy a wine tasting in the wine cellar in Montlouis sur Loire.
LE CHÂTEAU DE CHAMBORD
More than four centuries after its construction, Chambord still defies the imagination: 156 metres of stone façades, 56 metres high, and 440 rooms.
LE CHÂTEAU DE CHEVERNY
This Château, which became the model for Marlinspike Hall in Hergé’s Adventures of Tintin will surprise you with the richness and diversity of its furniture, and the authentic charm and refined decoration of its rooms.
LE CHÂTEAU D'AZAY-LE-RIDEAU
Built in the 16th century on an island in the middle of the river Indre in the most beautiful countryside, this Château is one of the best examples of Renaissance architecture we have.
LES JARDINS DE VILLANDRY
Like a jewellery box, the fabulous gardens of Villandry surround one of the last great Châteaux built on the banks of the Loire during the Renaissance (1536). Walk through one of the most beautiful gardens in France, constructed on three levels.
LE CHÂTEAU D'USSÉ
One of the most astonishing, built from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, it inspired by Charles Perrault the legend of “Sleeping Beauty”. This is the very image of the castle of fairy tales where you can be enchanted by the legend.
LE CHÂTEAU OF LANGEAIS
Built in the mid-15th century, this castle marks an opening to the Renaissance while retaining its feudal character; large round towers, crenelated battlements and machicolations, drawbridge. Its originality lies in its furnishing: furniture, woodwork, fabrics, sculptures, paintings, but also a collection of Gothic and Renaissance tapestries the jewel of this castle.
