Welcome to The Kingdom of Norway, a country with the most beautiful Fjords on Earth. Upon arrival in Bergen, transfer on your own to the hotel for check-in (Transfer by shuttle bus or by taxi can be booked in advance). Enjoy the remainder of the day free at leisure.
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy sightseeing in Bergen on your own. Pass through the most emblematic places such as the Hanseatic Bryggen with the Church of Mary, the Hakon Fortress and the famous Fish Market. You can visit the Fløibanen Funicular, which will take you on the top of the Mountain Fløyen for an overall view of the city. In addition, we recommend you check out Rosenkrantz Tower, St. Mary's Church, the Norwegian Fisheries Museum, the Horda Museum and the Fantoft Stave Church. After breakfast in the hotel, take a morning walk to the Bergen Railway Station where you will embark on a Train towards Voss, a very popular sports hub in the country. In Voss, you will change to a shuttle bus that will take you to Gudvangen through snowy Mountains and contrasted scenery. Upon arrival in Gudvangen, you will have some free time for lunch and, if you wish, you can also visit the Viking Village, an Open-Air Museum, where you can travel back in time to the Viking age. Afterwards, continue your trip by shuttle bus to Flåm. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel for your overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast this morning, you can choose to spend your time at leisure or participate in an optional guided snowshoe hike experience with a stop at the breathtaking Stegastein Viewpoint. Later today, get closer to nature in Aurlandsfjorden and parts of the UNESCO Listed Nærøyfjorden on an unforgettable RIB Boat Safari. This tour starts at 11:45am (Please arrive to the Fjord Safari Reception at 11:15am) and the length of this trip is 2.5 hours. The advantage of exploring the Fjords through a RIB Boat is that you will get the chance to get close to small Villages and Waterfalls along the way. You will hear tales and historical facts from the professional guide that accompanies you. You will receive necessary safety gear for a safe and comfortable experience on the Fjords including a floatation suit, life vest, hat, gloves and goggles. In the evening, you will be served a Ægir’s Viking Dinner, which is a 5 course Beer and food plank that consists of Salmon Tartar, Slow Cooked Deer, Creamy Tomato and Coconut Soup, Braised Shoulder of local Lamb and Dark Chocolate Cake. The plank is served with 5 unique Ægir Beers that compliments the different dishes (Non-alcoholic options are available on request). The dinner takes place in Ægir Brewpub. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before your morning departure to Myrdal by train. Myrdal Station is a Mountain Railway Station and Junction, located about 13 kms from the Village of Flåm. Board the famous Flåmsbana, which is one of the steepest trainlines in the world. The train journey runs through fantastic nature, past the Rallar Road, steep Mountains, breathtaking Waterfalls and no less than 20 Tunnels. It offers so many viewpoints that many feel like travelling multiple times between the Mountain and the Fjord. An audio guide is available throughout this part of the train journey. In Myrdal, change to the Bergen Railway, which will take you to the last stop of this journey, the Norwegian Capital, Oslo. Make your own way to the hotel for check-in. Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, discover the city of Oslo on your own or you can choose to join our optional Panorama Tour. This is a 3 hour tour, travelling by coach and with a certified local guide. The tour of the city includes the Holmenkollen Ski Jump and a guided tour through Vigeland Sculpture Park. If you wish to explore the city on your own, we recommend you visit Akershus Castle, Oslo City Hall, the Fram Museum, the Kon-Tiki Museum, the Munch Museum, the National History Museum, the Nobel Peace Centre and much more. After breakfast, enjoy some last minute shopping for the Viking souvenirs. Transfer to the Airport on your own for your onward journey or return flight home (Transfers can be also booked in advance). Meals: Breakfast
