Upon arrival in Oslo, transfer on your own to the hotel for check-in (Shuttle Bus Transfer on request, bookable in advance). The rest of the day is free at leisure with a meeting with your tour escort in the hotel lobby to go through the details of your tour.
After breakfast in the hotel, enjoy sightseeing of the Norwegian Capital on your own. The basic sightseeing includes the Frogner Park, with all sculptural Vigeland, the Fram Museum, the Royal Palace and City Hall. You can also visit the famous Holmenkollen Ski Jump, where you will get a wonderful view of all the city and the fjord. The rest of the day is at leisure to walk along the streets and explore the city of the Royal Family as well as the main Karl Johan’s Street with many shops, bars and cafés. We recommend a 24 Hour Oslo Pass that will grant you free travel on public transport in the Oslo area and entrance to most of the city’s Museums including Akershus Castle, Oslo City Hall, Kon-Tiki Museum, Munch Museum, National History Museum, Nobel Peace Centre and much more. After breakfast, meet your tour escort and walk to the train station, where you will board a train towards Myrdal. Departure to Myrdal by train. Possible train departures: 06:25am and 08:25am (Subject to availability). Myrdal Station is a Mountain Railway Station and Junction, located about 13 kms from the village of Flåm. Here, you will board the famous Flåmsbana, which is one of the steepest train lines in the world. The train journey runs through fantastic nature, past the Rallar Road, steep Mountains, breathtaking Waterfalls, through 20 tunnels and offers so many viewpoints that many feel like travelling multiple times between the mountain and the fjord. Upon arrival in Flåm, walk to the hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is free at leisure to explore this wonderful place until dinner tonight at the hotel. Today after breakfast, experience the Nærøyfjord in its full winter glory. The narrow and spectacular Nærøyfjord is surrounded by steep Mountains with snow covered tops that stretch up to 1800 metres above sea level. Waterfalls cascade down the Mountains and picturesque Villages dot the landscape. This is an area that is featured on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is considered one of the world's most beautiful fjord landscapes. Here, you will start your Fjord Cruise trip from Flåm. This round trip is a combination of a cruise and a shuttle bus that takes you back to where you started. (You can upgrade your Fjord cruise to RIB boat with extra cost). After breakfast, check-out and enjoy a last minute walk through the frozen Village. Alternatively, join an optional snowshoe tour and experience the beautiful morning light from high above the fjord! We then depart by train to Bergen, the World Heritage City. Bergen is the Gateway to the Fjords of Norway. As a UNESCO World Heritage City and a European City of Culture, the Bergen region has the ideal combination of nature, culture and exciting urban life all year around. Meals: Breakfast
It’s time to explore Bergen on your own! After breakfast, take a tour around the colourful Fish handlers and enjoy the Fish tasting at the most famous market in Bergen. Pass through the most emblematic places such as the Hanseatic Bryggen, with the Church of Mary, the Hakon Fortress and the famous Fish Market. Take a ride on the spectacular Fløibanen Funicular, which will take you on the top of Fløyen Mountain, for an overall view of the city. Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast this morning, there will be time for some last minute shopping for Viking Souvenirs. Make your own way to Bergen Airport for your onward journey or return flight back home (Shuttle Bus Transfer on request, bookable in advance). Meals: Breakfast
