Here, board a gondola and in just four minutes you will be transported 421 m above sea level to experience Tromsø's best view. Enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Tromsø and the surrounding Islands, Mountains and Fjords. Shared Optional Tour: Aurora Dinner Cruise (Duration: 4 Hrs) Glide silently into the Arctic night as you cruise through the majestic Fjords of Tromsø, where dramatic landscapes unfold beneath vast Northern skies. This morning after breakfast, embark on a scenic journey from Tromsø to Alta, a route renowned for its breathtaking beauty in every season. Dramatic coastlines, pristine Fjords and unspoiled Arctic landscapes accompany you throughout the day, creating an experience that lingers long after the journey ends. The distance between Tromsø and Alta is approximately 300 kms, covered in around eight hours, including two Ferry crossings that offer additional opportunities to admire the surrounding scenery from the water. A 2 Course Lunch is included and will be served en route at Bios Café Storslett (beverages not included). Upon arrival in Alta, check-in at your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure. Shared Optional Tour: Sleigh Ride Under the Northern Lights (Duration: 4 Hrs) You will be collected in Alta and transferred to a charming farm set in the nearby countryside. Upon arrival, step aboard a traditional sleigh and settle in beneath warm blankets, embracing the crisp Arctic air. Your sleigh is drawn by a Norwegian Fjord Horse, a sturdy and gentle breed that has been part of rural life in Norway for centuries. As you glide peacefully through forested trails and along the banks of the Alta River, the soft sound of sleigh bells accompanies the serene winter landscape. Towards the end of the ride, you will arrive at a cosy wilderness shelter for a well deserved pause. Here, a 3 Course Dinner will be served around the fire in an intimate and atmospheric setting. The shelter’s half wall design provides protection from the elements while still allowing you to enjoy the surrounding Arctic scenery. As you savour your meal, your hosts will share local stories and insights into life in the region. With favourable conditions, you may even have the opportunity to capture photographs of the enchanting Northern Lights dancing across the sky. Yet this is more than a simple meal, it is a sensory introduction to the region. Gathered around the table, you will discover the flavours, aromas, textures and stories behind each carefully selected ingredient. Inspired by nature and local traditions, the seasonal menu reflects the essence of the Arctic and your hosts will gladly share their knowledge and passion. After lunch, you will receive clear and concise instructions on how to handle and drive a dog sled, ensuring you feel confident and prepared for the journey ahead. Then, it is time to meet the true stars of the day, the friendly and energetic Alaskan Huskies, eagerly awaiting you in the enclosure. Their excited anticipation fills the air as they stand ready in front of the sleds, prepared to run. You may feel a similar thrill building within yourself. The gate opens. The dogs leap forward and suddenly, silence. A remarkable, almost magical silence, broken only by the rhythmic sound of paws and sled runners gliding across the snow. You will then have free time for lunch (not included) in Kautokeino before continuing your journey onwards. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Shared Optional Tour: Aurora Hunt by Heated Sleigh (Duration: 3 Hrs) A silent, snow covered forest, a nocturnal fell at the edge of vast wilderness and, above you, the magical Northern Lights. Take your seat in a heated Aurora Sleigh and settle in for a truly memorable evening. Your Guide will tow the sleigh by snowmobile through a moonlit and starlit winter landscape, ascending to the top of the fell, far from residential areas and light pollution, where the Arctic sky reveals its full splendour. Upon arrival, cameras are prepared as you turn your gaze towards the Northern night sky. Wrapped in warmth and comfort, you gather by the fire with hot drinks in hand, listening to local stories while waiting for the Aurora to make its appearance. Today, you will visit a traditional Reindeer Farm and gain insight into their life in this unique Northern environment. In the quiet forest, snow crunches beneath your snowshoes as you walk past trees heavy with snow, under the light of the moon and stars. At the fell, a cosy hut offers warmth, snacks and drinks while you wait to witness the magical dance of the Northern Lights across the sky. Shared Optional Tour: Snowmobile Tour (Duration: 2 Hrs) Leave the last remains of your everyday cares behind you and sit behind the handlebars of a snowmobile. On the snowmobile safari, you will receive a good understanding of the nature of Lapland during the winter. The breathtakingly beautiful landscape of the forest, the powdery snowdrifts and the trees bowing down under the weight of the snow line your route that takes you comfortably away from the bustle of the village of Saariselkä. After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Rovaniemi including a stop in Kemi for lunch. Enjoy a Sampo Icebreaker Experience. Sea Lapland is one of the few extraordinary places where the sea completely freezes over in the winter. Enjoy an unforgettable sea, snow and ice adventure on a cruise on the frozen Gulf of Bothnia. Let the magical moments in arctic nature blow you away. The crew gives a presentation of this historical ship and provide a guided tour around the vessel all the way from the Captain's bridge to the engine rooms. Lunch will be served onboard. Feel the crisp Arctic air on deck or relax indoors at the Icebreaker Bar, surrounded by icy scenery. Before returning to Port, the ship makes a one hour stop, giving guests the opportunity to take part in a unique ice floating experience, right in the middle of the largest ice field in Europe. Float in the icy waters, safely and comfortably dressed in a thermal survival suit. The adventure continues as you travel to Rovaniemi, located directly on the Arctic Circle. The Capital of Finnish Lapland and official hometown of Santa Claus, Rovaniemi has a population of approximately 60,000 inhabitants. Sit back and relax as the guide drives the husky team through peaceful Arctic landscapes. Let your senses unwind in the surrounding silence and pristine scenery. After the safari, spend time in the kennel area meeting the other dogs, all purebred Siberian Huskies. Each sled accommodates 3–5 guests with the final seating arrangements determined by the guides to ensure safety and comfort. After a short guided walk (approx. 400 metres), you will arrive at Santa Claus Village. Santa Claus has made Lapland in Northern Finland his home for centuries and the Arctic Circle is especially close to his heart, as many Christmas traditions and secrets are rooted in this magical place. Santa Claus Village is a welcoming destination with plenty to see and experience for visitors of all ages. Drive through a beautiful winter landscape in snowmobile headlights before stopping for a break in the middle of the pitch dark forest.
