Welcome to Finland, the Land of a Thousand Lakes. Upon arrival in Rovaniemi, the Capital of the Finnish Lapland, find your way to a hotel for check-in (private transfer can be pre-booked in advance). Lapland is as close as reality gets to those who dream of a winter wonderland. Contrasts are a key factor in the allure of Lapland where 24 hour sunlight in the summer replaces the dark winter days. The hustle and bustle of towns and ski resorts is just minutes away from the peace and quiet of the wild wilderness. In the evening, meet your tour escort in the hotel lobby for an informational meeting, which you will get all the necessary information about the flow of your tour. The meeting time is to be advised.
After breakfast in the hotel, we start the day immediately immersing yourself into the magic of Lapland. First stop today is the Santa Claus Village located on the Arctic Circle. You will be given some free time to visit Santa Claus in his Office and officially cross the Arctic Circle, as its border is stretching through the Village. Afterwards, you will visit the Reindeers in Santa Claus Village, get a taste of a Reindeer Sled Ride, receive a Reindeer driving license and enjoy a hot drink around the fire. After this, you can visit Santa's Post Office to send a letter to yourself or a loved one with the official stamp of Santa. Wander around the various souvenir shops and enjoy the magic atmosphere in the Village before you transfer back to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day free at leisure. Meals: Breakfast
