This morning, enjoy a 4 hour guided tour of Stockholm. This elegant and spacious Capital is dotted with islets, lush green parks and tree lined squares. This "city on water" is home to some remarkable old Mansions, remnants of its past. In the afternoon, board your overnight cruise to Helsinki. Breakfast buffet is served on board. Upon arrival, enjoy a 3 hour Sightseeing Tour of Helsinki. Amongst others, highlights include Senaatintori, the Senate Square’s and its magnificent architectural ensemble. Right around the corner near the harbour. Here, you will find the Kauppatori, the picturesque market square, which is characterised by an abundance of flowers, fruits and busy traders. The Tuomio Kirkko (Cathedral) is our next stop. It was built in the 19th Century and has an impressive copper dome. Concerts are regularly taking place inside. Another Church, the Temppeliaukio Kirkko, is carved into the rock, which gives excellent acoustics. One of the last stops is the Uspenski Cathedral, the Orthodox Cathedral in Neo-Byzantine style, which rears its mighty mass of red brick on the Katajanokka Island. Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning, you will depart for Tallinn by ferry. After lunch, you will have a 3 hour sightseeing tour of Tallinn with a local guide. The Old Town is divided into two distinctive parts, Toompea Hill and the Lower Town, which is centred on Raekoja plats (the Town Hall Square). The area is surrounded by a 2.5 km Fortified Wall. During the tour, admire the Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Toompea Castle, which is the home to the Estonian Parliament, City Hall Square, the house of the Brotherhood of Blackheads and St. Olaf and Niguliste churches. The rest of the day is at leisure to continue exploring the city at your own pace, visit more attractions, try the local cuisine, or do some shopping. Meals: Breakfast
Breakfast in the hotel. Enjoy some free time in the morning to further explore Tallinn! In the afternoon, you will depart towards Riga on a long distance coach. There will be a short break in Pärnu, a bustling beach retreat with early 20th Century buildings and a beautiful promenade, where you can try a local snack before continuing to Latvia. Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning, enjoy a 3 hour sightseeing tour of Riga. You will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites including the elegant Art Nouveau District and the Old Town with its many Medieval Churches. The drive takes you along central boulevards past the beautiful City Canal Park and Bastion Hill, the 19th Century New Opera House, Riga Castle, which was built in the 14th Century for the Archbishop and Riga’s Central Market built from reused Zeppelin hangars. Walk along the cobblestone streets revealing the impressive Powder Tower, Swedish Barracks, Swedish Gate, "Three Brothers", the Brotherhood of Blackheads building established 600 years ago, the majestic Dome Cathedral founded in 1211 with one of the best organs in Europe, the House of Cats, the street and Theatre where Richard Wagner conducted in the 1830's as well as the great and small Guild Houses. The rest of the day is at leisure to continue exploring the city at your own pace, visit more attractions, and try the local cuisine. Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast morning departure to Vilnius on a long distance coach. On the way, after crossing the border into Lithuania, you will have a short photo break at the impressive Pilgrimage site, the Hill of Crosses, whose origins remain a mystery. In the afternoon, you will have a 3 hour sightseeing tour of Vilnius. The Old Town's architectural ensemble, with its Central European Catholic inspiration contrasts with the Germanic influences found in other Baltic Capitals, offering a maze of winding streets, inner courtyards and old buildings. The tour notably includes Vilnius Cathedral and a visit to Saint Anne's Church (exterior), which is one of Lithuania's Gothic masterpieces. Meals: Breakfast
Breakfast in the hotel. You have the whole day to spend at leisure. Enjoy some last minute shopping for Baltic souvenirs, try the local cuisine or choose one of the optional activities (Half-Day tour to Trakai Castle with local lunch or a Hot Air Balloon tour). Meals: Breakfast
Today, you will depart for Trakai, which is one of Lithuania's Ancient Capitals. In the 14th Century, it was an administrative and economic centre for the management and defence of the country. There were two Castles in the town, the Castle on the Peninsula, which has yet to be restored and the gigantic Gothic Castle on an Osland in Lake Galvé. In the mid-20th Century, the lake Castle was rebuilt. Today, it's the only Castle on water in Eastern Europe and the centre of attraction for the Town of Trakai. Discover the Medieval City of Trakai with its wooden houses and Lithuania's most famous Castle, Trakai Castle. It was the Capital of the Grand Duchy until 1323, when it extended from the Baltic to the Black Sea. Visit the Museum, which brings this to life. Enjoy lunch in the city on your own. In the afternoon, depart for Poland and the magnificent Masurian Lakes region. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards visit Malbork, Europe's largest Medieval Fortress. Upon arrival in Malbork, the Capital of the Teutonic Order and UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will visit the High Castle and the Grand Master's Palace, the Golden Gate of the Abbey Church, the Middle Castle and its fortifications. Enjoy lunch along the way on your own before continuing to the City of Gdańsk. Meals: Breakfast
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a panoramic tour of the Old Town including St. Nicholas Church, which is the oldest in Gdańsk built in the 13th Century, St. Brigid's Church and the 14 Century Great Mill that was once the largest mill in Medieval Europe. You will also visit Old Gdańsk. Walk along Long Street and the Long Market, which is lined with Dutch style gabled houses, the Town Hall, the Golden House, the Artus Court, the Basilica of Our Lady and its masterpiece, Hans Memling's "Last Judgement". Stroll along Mariacka Street, Gdańsk's most charming and picturesque street with its Ironwork, Balusters, Grosses and Bas-reliefs. Enjoy lunch on your own. In the late afternoon, transfer to the Port of Gdynia for an overnight crossing to Karlskrona in Southern Sweden. Meals: Breakfast
Enjoy breakfast onboard. Disembark in Karlskrona before departing for Malmö for a city tour with your tour leader. After lunch, you will cross the magnificent Øresund Bridge, linking Sweden and Denmark. Arrive in Copenhagen at approximately 15:00pm and check-in to your hotel.
