Today, enjoy a panoramic tour of the city, known as Philadelphia, the city centre, downtown with its Roman Theatre, Citadel, traditional markets (Souqs), Churches and Mosques like King Abdullah Blue Mosque next to the Parliament. Afterwards, head to the Abdali Boulevard and the new modern city with its residential neighbourhood. Depart to Jerash, which is one of the most complete and best preserved Greco, Roman cities of the Roman Empire. Enjoy a walk through its streets, Theatres, Temples and other places such as the Great Colonnade Street, Arc of Triumph, the oval plaza, as well as the Temples of Zeus and Artemis. Return to Amman. After breakfast, depart to Madaba the 'City of Mosaics' and visit the map of the Holy Land made in 571 A.D. at the Saint George Church. Afterwards, continue to Mount Nebo, known as the Tomb of Moses, with a magnificent view of the Jordan Valley and visit its Franciscan Church. From here either visit Karak or Shobak through the Kings’ Highway, which is known as the Silk Road due to the trade of silk, perfume and spices. Visit its Fortress built between 1110 and 1143 A.C. by the Templers during the Crusades, which was then taken by Saladin. Afterwards, depart to Petra for dinner and overnight stay. Enjoy breakfast before joining a classic full day visit of the Nabatean Red Rose City of Petra, where the movie Indiana Jones was filmed. Petra is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, carved out of rock over 2000 years ago. We will access the city through its entrance (Siq) of 1.2 kilometres. From there, we continue to reach the impressive monumental Treasury (El Khazneh), which was believed to hold countless treasures. The first view of the 'Khazneh' is breathtaking. Other monuments we will see are the Theatre, the Byzantine Church and the Royal Tombs. You can choose to climb up to the Monastery or the Altar of Sacrifice without guide. Enjoy free time at leisure and visit to the Petra Museum, if time permits. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, transfer to the Desert of Wadi Rum, which is one of the scenes from the film 'Lawrence of Arabia', 'The Martian' by Mat Damon and 'Star Wars: The Rise of Sky Walker'. It is also one of the most spectacular settings in the Middle East. This is a Red Desert sand where Granite Mountains rise and peaks of red and gold colours penetrate the scenery. Enjoy a classic tour in 4x4 local vehicles for a breathtaking scenery of approximately 2 hours. Afterwards, transfer to Aqaba with free time in the city and/or beach. (Entrance to the beach not included, paid directly by the client. Beaches are private, there are few public beaches with basic services). Afterwards, we drive to Amman.
