Upon arrival to Cairo International Airport, you will be met by a representative who will assist you with Visa and Customs Formalities. Afterwards, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Overnight stay in Cairo.
After breakfast, your private Egyptologist Tour Guide and Driver will pick you up from the hotel for the start your tour. We will drive to Giza and visit the Pyramids. Here, see the Great Pyramid, a Royal Burial Chamber and the Sphinx. Afterwards, we will continue to Memphis, which was the Capital of the Pharaohs during the Old Kingdom. Here, visit the recumbent Statue of Ramses II and the 80 ton Alabaster Sphinx. Lunch will be en route before continuing to Saqqara to see the prototype of the Pyramids, the Step Pyramid, which was built for the 3rd Dynasty Pharaoh Djoser by the exalted Architect Imhotep. After breakfast, you will check-out of the hotel and take your transfer to Alexandria. Upon arrival, you will start your tour to Alexandria with a visit to the El Montazah Gardens where you will have the opportunity to see (from outside only) the Montazah Palace, which was originally built in 1892. This Palace dates back to 1926 and was the Summer home of the Egyptian Royal Family. Afterwards, you will continue to the Catacomb (Kom El Shoqafa), which is a remarkable example of the Alexandrian blend of Greco-Roman and Egyptian styles carved into 100 ft of solid rock. From here, you will visit the Fort and Citadel of Qaitbay, which was built in the 15th Century by Sultan Ashraf Qaitbay. Legend says that the Fort was built with stones from the Pharos Lighthouse, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It now houses a Navel Museum. Your journey continues to visit the newly opened Library of Alexandria. Apart from the Main Library, the complex will include a Library for the blind, a young people's library, the Alexandria Conference Centre, a Science Museum, a Planetarium, a Restoration and Conservation Laboratory as well as the Hall of Fame. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before we are transferred to the hotel for our overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
After breakfast at hotel, we will check-out and visit El Alamein Museum and Commonwealth Tombs (90 minutes drive from Alexandria). Afterwards, we will return to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will check-in to the hotel for your overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast
In the morning, you will check-out of your Cairo hotel and transfer to the Airport to catch a flight to Luxor for embarkation on your Nile Cruise. In the afternoon, you will visit the great Luxor Temple and the magnificent Karnak Temple of Amun with its famous Hypostyle Hall, 134 huge columns, Statue of Ramses II, Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut and the Sacred Lake. In the morning, your sightseeing tour in Luxor includes the West Bank (Thebes) where some of the richest treasures in the world exists including the Tomb of Tutankhamun (optional) and other Royal Tombs such as Ramses VI in the Valley of the Kings. You will have some time to visit some of these Tombs. Enjoy a visit to Hatshepsut Funerary Temple at Dier El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon as well as the Gold Institute on your way back to the cruise for lunch. This afternoon, you will sail through the locks of Esna to Edfu with dinner onboard. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
This morning, you will visit the Horus Temple of Edfu, which is one of the three beautiful Temples of the Ptolemaic Period. Afterwards, we will sail to Kom Ombo where you will visit the Sobek Temple, which is dedicated to the two Gods and offers beautiful murals and reliefs. Our journey will continue to Aswan. Enjoy breakfast onboard before spending the day free at leisure. This afternoon, you will sail on an Egyptian Felucca around Elephantine Island, the Botanical Gardens on Kitchener Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Afterwards, you will visit a Nubian Village. Overnight in Aswan. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast, you will disembark from the ship and visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries and the Philae Temple. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Aswan Airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel for your overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, you will visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses a magnificent collection of Pharaonic Antiquities especially the Golden treasures of Tutankhamun. Afterwards, continue to visit the Citadel of Salah El Din and the Mohammed Ali Mosque, which is situated high above the City. Enjoy lunch en route before continuing to visit the Church of Abu Serga, Muallaqa Church (Hanging Church) and Ben Ezra Synagogue, which is the oldest Jewish Synagogue in Egypt. From here, you journey continues to see a Perfume Institute on your way back to the hotel. Meals; Breakfast, Lunch
