Upon arrival, you will be met at Madrid Airport and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free at leisure.
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, enjoy a panoramic city tour that will take us through Madrid's Medieval origins including the Arab Fortress and the Barrio de la Morería, which is known for its ancient buildings and traditional taverns. We will explore the district of the Hapsburgs, characterised by Phillip II and its Renaissance and Baroque buildings at Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa. We will see the Madrid of the Bourbons and the urban planning of Charles III including the Royal Palace, the Cibeles Fountain, the Neptune Fountain and the Puerta de Alcalá. We will admire 19th Century landmarks such as the elegant Plaza de Oriente and the Prado Museum. We will also get to know contemporary Madrid with avenues like Gran Vía, Paseo de la Castellana, the Salamanca neighbourhood, Parque del Oeste, the commercial and financial areas of Modern Madrid and the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Today after breakfast at the hotel, we drive along La Mancha, Don Quixote's land. Enjoy a brief stop in Puerto Lápice before we cross through the natural border of 'Despeñaperros' and into Andalusia, which is a region with an enormous heritage from a splendorous past. Upon arrival in Córdoba, enjoy an impressive tour of its Mosque and other sites. This tour will also ease your mind and spirit as you stroll through the narrow winding streets of the Jewish Quarter. In the afternoon, after a short two hour drive we will reach Seville for our overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast this morning, we will start the day with a morning city tour visiting the Cathedral, which is the second largest in the Catholic world after St. Peters in Rome. Our tour continues to the Santa Cruz Quarter, which is the natural scenario of Carmen and where the myth of Don Juan was developed, before visiting Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de España. The afternoon is free at leisure to discover the exclusive views and specific flavours of this city of light. Tonight, there is the option of joining a Option Flamenco Show. Meals: Breakfast
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we drive east through the Caliphate Road to the heart of Andalusia observing an endless number of Olive trees on the way to Granada and its incredible and amazing monumental environment, the last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms up to 1492. Visit the world renowned Alhambra Complex (entrance included) and Generalife Gardens that have inspired several authors with its sound and sights, such as the 'Tales of the Alhambra' by Washington Irving. In the evening, there is an optional Flamenco Zambra show. Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart towards the east to arrive in Valencia, one of the main Capitals of the Mediterranean Coast, featuring its modern City of Arts and Sciences Complex, which includes six buildings, the Hemisférico, Umbracle, Science Museum, Oceanogràfic, Palau de les Arts and Ágora. Valencia is also the birthplace of the internationally renowned 'Paella'. Overnight stay in Valencia. Meals: Breakfast
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a morning city tour of this bright city including a drive through the Old City showing the most prominent buildings, we will then be driven past the old riverbed of the Turia to the most avant-garde complex 'Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias' to watch the emblematic exteriors of the six buildings. Early afternoon departure northward all along the Mediterranean Coast to Catalunya, via Tarragona, the Roman Tarraco. We will reach Barcelona, the main Mediterranean city and homeland of the famous architect Gaudí, a symbol of the Catalan modernism. Check-in at the hotel for your overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before a morning city tour of Barcelona, well known worldwide for the Olympic Games during 1992. Drive along the main avenues with impressive modernist buildings by Gaudí such as La Pedrera or Casa Milá and Casa Batlló, declared World Heritage Buildings. The Montjuïc Park with spectacular views of the city and harbour, Olympic Ring and the Monument to Columbus.
