Your adventure begins in the charming Old Town of Lagos, where winding, narrow streets and remnants of Ancient Walls set the scene for a journey through time. As you make your way to the Coastline, prepare to be amazed by Ponta da Piedade, a true geological wonder sculpted by nature herself. Imagine towering Limestone Formations that resemble a crumbling cake, sculpted by millennia of wind and waves into magnificent arches, rocky pillars and hidden Grottoes. Take a moment to soak in the scenery and you may even spot some unique birdlife that frequents this rocky sanctuary. Today, you will find some small Fishing Villages and the remnants of abandoned Fortresses, echoes of a time when pirates roamed these shores. After departing from Luz, visit the fascinating Roman Bath Ruins, dating back to the 3rd to 5th Centuries. As your journey continues along the stunning coastline, be prepared for some ups and downs among the spectacular cliffs, this is the path to uncovering hidden gems. Take a moment to soak in the breathtaking views and the soothing sounds of nature. By the end of the day, you will arrive at Salema, a picturesque Fishing Village nestled in a tranquil bay, framed by dramatic, sunbaked ochre cliffs. The beach serves as a bustling fishing harbour, where you can watch local boats return from the ocean, laden with their fresh catch. Begin your day with a delicious local breakfast and then take a short transfer to the trailhead. This day offers you two hiking options (a shorter and a longer one), both leading you through amazing stone Pinewood and charming Algarvean Villages, with their beautifully decorated Chimneys, en route to Salema. Alternatively, enjoy a day of relaxation at Salema’s, soaking up the sun on its beautiful beach. Whatever your choice, an unforgettable Algarve experience awaits. Meals: Breakfast
Find a perfect postcard at every turn! Today’s hike leads you to Sagres, a small and charming Village that boasts some of the Algarve’s most breathtaking landscapes. To reach this special spot, you will follow one of the most scenic sections of the South Fisherman’s Trail, wandering along dramatic cliffs and uncovering hidden, untouched beaches with pristine lagoons, a coastline almost untouched by time. The day has two options, a longer and a shorter one, that start in Zavial, after a short car transfer. Although, the most challenging day of the whole trip, this day is probably one of the most spectacular ones in terms of natural beauty! Prepare to be captivated by the rare and rugged landscapes that await you along these cliffside trails. Meals: Breakfast
Discover Cape São Vicente, where the land ends and the sea begins! Perched at the South Westernmost tip of Continental Europe, Cape São Vicent is a historical place where you can almost hear the echoes of Sailors and Pilgrims from centuries past. Once thought to be the 'end of the world', this Cape held Ancient Mysteries and was the departure point for brave explorers who, five centuries ago, set sail on caravels in search of new worlds. Nowadays, it’s known for its breathtaking beauty, making it the ideal start to your final day of hiking. Upon arrival, take a moment to absorb the dramatic cliffs towering over the Atlantic, the stunning blue waters and the iconic Lighthouse, one of Europe’s most powerful. From here, the trail leads to Sagres, winding along high cliffs with remarkable rock formations and secluded beaches tucked between the cliffs. From here, follow the trail toward Sagres along majestic cliffs, passing incredible rock formations and discovering secluded beaches hidden between the cliffs. The views are simply unforgettable.
