Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before joining a morning city tour of Barcelona. Drive along the main avenues with its impressive Gaudí modernist buildings such as La Pedrera and Casa Batlló. See the Montjuïc Park with its spectacular views of the city and harbour, the Olympic Ring, the Monument to Columbus and the Olympic Port. We will also visit the most important landmark in the city of Barcelona, Sagrada Família. Admire Gaudí's masterwork by the hand of your expert local guide. Today, you will be transferred to the Train Station to take the high speed train to Madrid. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Join your fellow travellers for an authentic Welcome Tapas Dinner. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
After breakfast, discover the beauties of the city with a guided city tour. See Barrio de la Morería, the Hapsburgs District, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa, the Madrid of the Bourbons and the complex town planning schemes of Charles III, the Royal Palace, Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains and the Puerta de Alcalá. Enjoy seeing contemporary Madrid with areas such as Gran Vía, Castellana, the District of Salamanca, as well as the commercial and financial areas of Modern Madrid and the Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium. During our visit, we will taste typical Chocolate with Churro, the most Madrid style snack. The rest of the afternoon is free at leisure to continue exploring the wonders that the city has to offer. After breakfast, we depart for Salamanca. Upon arrival, enjoy some free time in this University City and World Heritage Site of great architectural and artistic wealth. Afterwards, continue to the Portuguese Border to reach Porto, which is located along the Douro River estuary in Northern Portugal. Porto is one of the oldest European towns and was proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996. Meals: Breakfast
Today, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Porto. Admire the Cathedral, Stock Exchange building and Santa Clara Church. Afterwards, enjoy a Douro River Cruise and discover famous Port Wine Cellars with a Wine tasting experience included. The rest of the day is free at leisure to relax or explore more of the city on your own. Tonight, you will have the opportunity to share a typical Fado show with dinner with your fellow travellers. After breakfast, we depart to Aveiro, which is known for its picturesque canals earning it the nickname 'The Venice of Portugal’. Enjoy a ride on a Moliceiro, a traditional colourful boat used for navigating the canals of Aveiro before heading to Coimbra. We will meet the local guide for a tour of Coimbra, a historic city known for its prestigious University (one of the oldest in Europe), charming Medieval streets and beautiful riverfront. Today after breakfast, we depart to the Batalha Monastery, which is a masterpiece of Gothic and Manueline style considered a World Heritage Place by UNESCO. Afterwards, we continue to the picturesque fishing town of Nazaré. Here, enjoy some free time at leisure before we continue to Lisbon. In Lisbon, we will cross the Tagus River to Cacilhas and enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant featuring Seafood. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
After breakfast, join a morning sightseeing of the Ancient Olissipo driving through its main squares and avenues, seeing the Belem Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, Monument to the Discoverers, Marquis of Pombal Square and Liberty Avenue. The afternoon is free at leisure for you to catch the nostalgic corners of Alfama Quarter and the Old City gathered next to its Castle with old buildings nested in narrow twisting 'Ruas' full of colour housing the genuine 'Tabernas'. The rest of the day is free at leisure to enjoy this magnificent city. Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, we depart Lisbon for Mérida, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and known for its well preserved Roman ruins including the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre. Explore its rich historical heritage before continuing to Madrid. In Madrid, join your fellow travellers for a Farewell Dinner. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
