This morning, discover the beauties of the city with a guided city tour. See Barrio de la Morería, the Hapsburgs District, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa, the Madrid of the Bourbons and the complex town planning schemes of Charles III, the Royal Palace, Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains and the Puerta de Alcalá. You will also see contemporary Madrid with areas such as Gran Vía, Castellana, the District of Salamanca as well as the commercial and financial areas of Modern Madrid and the Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium. After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Salamanca. Enjoy some free time in this University City and World Heritage Site of great architectural and artistic wealth. Afterwards, continue to the Portuguese Border to reach Porto, which is located along the Douro River estuary in northern Portugal. After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Porto admiring the Cathedral, the Stock Exchange Building and Santa Clara Church. After breakfast, we depart to Aveiro, which is known for its picturesque canals earning it the nickname ‘The Venice of Portugal’. Enjoy a ride on a Moliceiro, which is a traditional colourful boat used for navigating the canals of Aveiro before heading to Coimbra. We will meet the local guide for a tour of Coimbra, which is a historic city known for its prestigious University (one of the oldest in Europe), charming Medieval streets and beautiful riverfront. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing to the Batalha Monastery, which is a masterpiece of Gothic and Manueline style considered a World Heritage Place by UNESCO. Afterwards, we continue to the picturesque fishing town of Nazaré and enjoy some free time at leisure before continuing to Lisbon. After breakfast, join a morning city sightseeing of the Ancient Olissipo. Drive through its main squares and avenues, see Belem Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, the Monument to the Discoverers, Marquis of Pombal Square and Liberty Avenue. The afternoon is free at leisure for you to catch the nostalgic corners of Alfama Quarter and the Old City gathered next to its Castle with old buildings nested in narrow twisting 'Ruas' full of colour housing the genuine 'Tabernas'. After breakfast at the hotel, we depart Lisbon bound for Andalusian soils, back in Spain, to Mérida, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and known for its well preserved Roman ruins including the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre. Explore its rich historical heritage before continuing to Córdoba, which was once the Capital of the Caliphate. Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a tour that helps you to discover the impressive Mosque of Córdoba and other sites that will ease your mind and spirit strolling through its narrow winding streets of the Jewish Quarter. Afterwards, we continue to Santa Cruz Quarter with the natural scenario of Carmen as well as the myth of Don Juan before visiting Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de España. After breakfast, we travel south through Andalusian villages to Jerez where you will be captivated by two of the essential elements of the Andalusian soul, Wine and Horses. We will visit the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and enjoy a Wine tasting in one of the famous local Wineries. Afterwards, we continue to Ronda. Here, we will visit an Olive Oil production facility at LA Organic and taste their organic Olive Oil. The rest of the day is free at leisure to discover the secrets of Ronda. Meals: Breakfast
This morning after breakfast at the hotel, we will depart from Ronda towards Gibraltar. Upon arrival, we will visit 'ON THE ROCKS' in Gibraltar. Enjoy some free time in Gibraltar before we continue to Algeciras to take the Ferry to Tangier. Upon arrival in Tangier, which is our first contact with Morocco, we will be transferred to Tétouan, a city known as ‘The White Dove’ and whose Medina is recognised a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After breakfast. enjoy a panoramic visit to the most interesting places in Tétouan before continuing the route to Chefchaouen, which is considered the 'Blue City' due to the colour of its houses and streets. Upon arrival, we will visit the city, walking through its Uta El Hammam Square with some free time for shopping and lunch. Afterwards, we will depart for Fès, crossing the Rif Mountain Range arriving in the late afternoon. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Today after breakfast, enjoy a full visit to the country's religious city. Founded in the 8th Century by Idriss II, it is considered one of the Four Imperial Capitals. During this visit, enjoy a tour through the most emblematic places such as the Royal Palace Gates, the Jewish Quarter and the Fortress that offers the best view of Fès el-Bali, the Medina or Old City. A walking tour will lead us to the famous Bab Bou Jeloud Gate, which offers a glimpse into a part of the city that still lives close to the Middle Ages. Walls protect its interior, formed by hundreds of labyrinthine alleys where visitors can experience a multitude of smells and flavours in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will arrive at a Palace in the city for a practical class on how to prepare one of Morocco's most typical dishes, Couscous. Guests will also have the opportunity to help the cooks finish this dish. Lunch is served at this location. In the afternoon, we will visit nearby Vineyards for a Wine tasting session. After breakfast, we depart Fès towards Marrakech, traveling entirely on the highway. Enjoy a stop in Casablanca for some free time for lunch and a visit to the city. The tour includes the United Nations Square, Habous Quarter and the exterior of the Great Hassan II Mosque. Afterwards, we continue our journey to Marrakech arriving in the late afternoon. After breakfast, depart for a city tour beginning with the Grand Menara Gardens, which feature a side Pavilion and countless Olive Trees. Afterwards, enjoy an exterior visit to the Koutoubia Minaret, which is the twin of Seville's Giralda. In the old part of the city, visit the Dar el Bacha Museum, which is known for its spectacular architecture. Finally, we will head to the Jamaa El-Fnaa Square, which is one of Morocco's most interesting places where you can access the Souks and Medina. In the afternoon, visit different artisan guilds including woodworkers, potters, tanners and spice merchants. At some point we will visit a riad in the Medina, a Palace House, for a special moment such as a traditional Tea Ceremony conducted by an expert. After breakfast, we depart Rabat to Tangier. Upon arrival, enjoy a panoramic tour of Cape Spartel, the Palace Route and the Kasbah, which is where the city's inhabitants defended against Pirate attacks centuries ago. Afterwards, we will be transferred to the Tangier Port for a fast Catamaran to Tarifa before continuing to Málaga for our overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, we will visit the city and explore its historical and cultural attractions. Málaga is a city full of corners that look back on several centuries of history, from the time of the Romans with its magnificent Theatre, to the times of the Arabs with the Alcazaba or the Castle of Gibralfaro. Afterwards, we continue to Granada, which is located at the foot of Sierra Nevada, between the Darro and Genil Rivers and is one of the jewels of Andalusia. Here, the impressive Andalusian legacy, represented by the Alhambra, is complemented by Renaissance architectural gems. We will have the chance to learn how to dance Flamenco before attending a dinner with a Flamenco Show in one of the most typical venues in Granada.
