Today, meet your assistant at Rome Termini Station at about 08:30am and take the high speed train to Naples. Upon arrival in Naples Train Station, you will be met by a expert local assistant in front of the fountain inside the station, which is on the left side with its back to the platforms. You will be transferred to the hotel for check-in. The day is free at leisure to explore the city and taste the excellence of local food such as pizza. Overnight stay in Naples.
After breakfast, you will check-out of the hotel and be picked up for your transfer at around 10:00am to Pompeii for a private guided tour of the archaeological excavations. This Ancient Roman City was destroyed when Vesuvius erupted in 79 A.D. and buried it, preserving it under a sea of Volcanic ash for nearly 1,700 years. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Sorrento, famous for its picturesque Old Town Centre and characteristic Fisherman's Village of Marina Grande, which is one of the most authentic treasures of the city. A local assistant welcomes you at the hotel during the check-in and will give you all the information for the Capri excursion and the following transfer and activities. Overnight stay in Sorrento. After breakfast, we depart for the port and set sail to Capri by traditional Gozzo Sorrentino. Enjoy a boat trip around the island and the possibility to swim in its crystal clear waters or visit the Blue Grotto (optional entrance if weather permitting). Once landed on the island, you will continue by minibus to discover it and reach the legendary Piazzetta, the heart of the island. Enjoy some free time to explore Capri at your own pace. Return to the port to head back to Sorrento for your overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast in the hotel, your morning is free at leisure in Sorrento. Afterwards, you will be transferred from Sorrento to Naples at around 15:30pm where our local assistant at Naples Train Station will help you to board the high speed train going to Rome for your journey onward. Arrival at Termini Station is scheduled for around 19:00pm. Meals: Breakfast
