Pack your bags and wear comfortable shoes as you will be picked you up in the morning directly from your centrally located hotel in Rome starting at 06:30am. Departing at 07:30am, your adventure begins with a scenic transfer from Rome to Sorrento. As we travel, marvel at the stunning landscapes of the Italian countryside and breathtaking views along the Coast, where crystal-clear waters meet hills dotted with Citrus groves and charming villages. Arriving in Sorrento, the jewel of the Amalfi Coast, you will be enchanted by its vibrant streets, artisan ceramic workshops and historic Churches. You can enjoy a delightful Limoncello tasting, where you will savour the authentic flavours of this iconic Italian Liqueur. After checking in to your hotel, enjoy the afternoon at your leisure. For those seeking more adventure, consider joining an optional tour to explore the spectacular Amalfi Coast. In the evening, savour a delicious dinner at the hotel (smart-casual attire recommended), followed by an overnight stay in Sorrento. Meals: Dinner
After visiting the Blue Grotto, we continue to the Giardini di Augusto (Gardens of Augustus), a beautifully landscaped terrace offering panoramic views of the iconic Faraglioni rock formations and the Marina Piccola Bay, which is an ideal spot for photos and a relaxing stroll. You will see wonderful views of the Bay of Naples and enjoy some free time for lunch (not included). Afterwards, you can take advantage of some free time to explore Capri at your leisure or to go shopping. Then, return to Marina Grande back to the mainland before returning to Sorrento for dinner and your overnight stay. Please Note: The Capri Island Tour operates from 01 April - 31 October. After breakfast, you will have some free time to soak in Sorrento's charm one last time. Around 13:15pm, we begin the final leg of our journey. Accompanied by our expert tour leader, we head to Pompeii, where a professional local guide will take you on an extraordinary walking tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover the remarkably preserved ruins of this ancient Roman City, frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Enjoy Skip-the-Line access, personal earphones and a radio receiver to ensure you won't miss a single fascinating detail as your guide brings history to life.
