Upon arrival at Athens Airport, meet with a representative and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure to begin exploring or simply relax. Overnight stay in Athens.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before beginning your day with a panoramic drive of the city visiting the Panathenaic Stadium (modern Olympic Games), the Prime Minister's Residence (ex Royal Palace), which is guarded by the Evzones in their colourful uniforms, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the Memorial of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library and the Constitution Square (Syntagma). Afterwards, continue with a guided tour of the Acropolis, the Propylea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and the Parthenon. From here, proceed to the New Acropolis Museum for a guided visit. After the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel for your overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast, we will depart the hotel and drive through the fertile plain of the Beotia region, passing by the towns of Thebes, Levadia and via the picturesque village of Arachova to arrive in Delphi. Here, visit the Archaeological Site before departing for Kalambaka, which is a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing complex of the Meteora, gigantic rocks that rise steep from the plain of Thessaly. Today, you will visit Meteora. Perched on top of huge rocks, which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stands ageless Monasteries where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Afterwards, depart from Kalambaka and drive through the striking plain of Thessaly and the Valley of Tempi, admiring the gigantic figure of Mount Olympus, the highest mountain in Greece and home of the 12 Gods in Greek Mythology. Arrival in Thessaloniki, the second largest and the most vibrant city in Greece for your overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
In the morning, visit the city that throughout the era of the Byzantine Empire was the 'co reigning' city, second in population and prestige after Constantinople. See unique sites like the White Tower, Roman Forum, Ottoman Market, St. Demetrius’ Church and the Byzantine Walls. Enjoy a short walking tour including the ruins from the Palace and Arch of Galerius, and a visit to the famous Rotunda (built as a Temple and transformed into a Church with fine Early Christian mosaics). After breakfast, we depart in the morning for a unique approach to historical Macedonia. Our first stop is at picturesque Edessa where we see the town's famous landmark, the Waterfalls. Afterwards, we proceed to Naoussa, to a site of exceptional beauty and importance, Aristotle's School, which is a picturesque site where the great philosopher taught ‘the doctrines of morals and politics' to Alexander the Great and the Macedonian youth. Then drive to Vergina (Ancient Aigai), to live the experience of a visit to the unique Museum, created in the Great Tumulus covering the Royal Tombs of Macedonia. See the astonishing findings from the Tomb of King Phillip II, Alexander's father, and feel the thrill of the greatest discovery of the 20th Century. Only a few miles away is Veria (Biblical Beroea) to visit Saint Paul's Bema and stroll through the old Jewish neighbourhood and the colourful market area. A walk in a city where past is present and around. Afterwards, we return to Thessaloniki for dinner and our overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Today, we depart Thessaloniki and drive to Pella, the Capital of Alexander the Great. See the exquisite floor mosaics of the 4th Century B.C. villas, in Situ as well as in the New Museum. Afterwards, continue on to visit the Archaeological Park of Dion (sacred city of the Macedonians, at the foot of mountain Olympus). After the visit we start driving south and through Thessaly, Lamia, Thermopylae (see the Leonidas' Monument) and Thebes, arriving in Athens late in the afternoon. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel for your overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast
