Bleb is an Alpine Lake surrounded by high peaks and was 'discovered’ by travellers in the middle of the 19th Century. Today, it is a vibrant, year round resort. Enjoy a sightseeing tour featuring the charming town, the lakeshore and panoramic views from the imposing Bled Castle, which is perched on a cliff high above the lake. The rest of the day is free at leisure to browse through the shops and boutiques or simply relax and enjoy the enchanting scenery. After breakfast, your journey continues to Postojna, which is home to one of the largest caves in Europe. Enjoy a tour of this fantastic subterranean world by miniature electric train. Afterwards, continue to the coast with a stop in Opatija for a walking tour of this 19th Century fashionable resort dotted with Habsburg era villas. After breakfast, we will take a walking tour around the lower lakes of Plitvice Lakes National Park. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder of sixteen terraced lakes surrounded by thickly wooded mountains and lush vegetation. This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour featuring the historic Inner City built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards, see the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures including Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle and the Cathedral. This morning after breakfast, we depart Dubrovnik on a scenic road that will take you to the Adriatic Coast with a stop in Mostar for a private walking tour. Here, you will see the city highlights such as the famous Old Bridge, which was built by the Ottoman Empire in the 15th Century, pass by the Old Bazaar and view the Mosque and a traditional Turkish House. Afterwards, we continue to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Capital, Sarajevo, for our overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Today, we will take a guided tour to learn about Sarajevo’s unique and layered history. We will see all the city highlights including Baščaršija Square, the Gazi Husrev-bed Mosque, the Austro-Hungarian architecture and the famous Latin Bridge, which was the site of the assassination that sparked the beginning of World War I. Today after breakfast, we depart Sarajevo and travel to Belgrade, which is the Capital of Serbia for our overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
After breakfast, enjoy a morning sightseeing tour including a visit to the imposing Kalemegdan Fortress, which is dramatically set at the confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers. You will also see Republic Square and Knez Mihailova Street, Saint Sava Temple, which is the largest Orthodox Church in the city, and Tito’s Memorial.
