Today, explore the Lake District on your own or join a guided day trip. Here, discover picturesque villages like Hawkshead and learn about literary figures such as Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth, both of which were inspired by the beautiful scenery. After breakfast, depart the Lake District and travel to the Newcastle area via Northumberland National Park, which is home to England's cleanest rivers, purest air and darkest skies. Enjoy a ranger led E-bike tour around Hadrian's Wall or visit a former Roman Barracks. Afterwards, continue your drive to Newcastle, the former home to Britain's ship building industry and coal mining. Why not take a guided tour of the local Tyne Tunnel. Overnight stay in Newcastle. Today, depart Newcastle and travel to York to explore this Historic City. The Town walls and Medieval lanes mean that the city is best explored on foot. Make sure to walk down the Shambles, visit the magnificent York Minster or sample some of the local Chocolate at York's Chocolate Story. Today, enjoy a day tour to North York Moors National Park. Here, history and nature have combined to give this National Park an amazingly vibrant landscape, which is rich in heritage and wildlife, making it an inspiring place to visit. Today after breakfast, you will travel to Manchester via the Peak District National Park. This Park is well known for its homes, plateaus and valleys. Discover the interesting stories around Eyam, which is the historic plague village and conclude your visit with a walk in the dark peak. A fun experience could be joining the peak district pub tour. Afterwards, depart for Manchester for your overnight stay. Upon arrival, check-in for your last night in Manchester. Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, check-out of the hotel and return your car. Depart from either Manchester Airport or Liverpool Airport for your return flight home or onward journey. Meals: Breakfast
