Upon arrival at the Bucharest Airport, you will be welcomed by your Guide who will accompany you along a tour followed by transfer to the hotel. Enjoy dinner and your overnight stay in Bucharest. Meals: Dinner
After breakfast, we travel along the Olt Valley through the Red Tower Pass, where the historic Border between Transylvania and Wallachia once lay. En route, stop at Cozia Monastery, one of the oldest and most important Monasteries in Romania. In the afternoon, you reach Sibiu 'Hermannstadt', a City designated European Capital of Culture in 2007. During a detailed Walking Tour of the historic centre, you will visit the Evangelical Cathedral as well as the Roman Catholic Church and discover the charming squares and streets of the Old Town during a complimentary City Walk, where you will see the Great and Small Squares and the famous Bridge of Lies. Afterwards, continue on to Bazna for our overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast

Today, is dedicated to the culture of the Transylvanian Saxons. The Fortified Churches of Transylvania are among the best known historical monuments of the Transylvanian Saxons and better preserved than in other parts of Europe, they are also valuable architectural Testimonies of general Fortified Church construction. After breakfast, we will proceed to Biertan, 'Birthälm', where we will visit the largest Fortified Church from Transylvania. Until the 19th Century it was also the residence of the Evangelical Bishops of Transylvania. Next on our list is Sighisoara, 'Schäßburg', the most beautiful and best preserved Medieval ensemble in rural Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque style in this part of Europe. The high density of architectural monuments, the public buildings, Fortification walls, defensive towers and dwellings, all forming a single complex, give the Citadel the appearance of a unique, well composed architectural ensemble of inestimable historical value. Highlights here include the Church on the Hill, Dracula’s Birthplace and the former Monastery Church of the Virgin Mary. In the afternoon, return to Bazna. Enjoy a Horse Drawn Carriage Ride from Bazna to the Fortified Church in Boian, 'Bonnesdorf'. Meals: Breakfast
Today, drive over the Tihuta Pass from Bukovina into Transylvania. Enjoy a short stop in Bistrita to admire the Church with the tallest Tower in Romania. Afterwards, continue via Targu Mures, where you can see the Orthodox Cathedral and the Palace of Culture. In the afternoon, visit Moldovița Monastery, known for its excellently preserved frescoes depicting Biblical scenes in vibrant colours. The harmonious architecture and peaceful atmosphere make this Monastery an important Site of Romania’s Cultural Heritage. Meals: Breakfast
This morning, you will visit the Voronet Monastery, famous for its intense blue colour and extraordinarily well preserved frescoes, earning it the nickname 'The Sistine Chapel of the East'. Drive through the breathtaking Bicaz Gorge, along the Red Lake. The Bicaz Gorge is an approx. 5 kilometre long Canyon cutting through the Eastern Carpathians. Near the pass, the Red Lake, 'Lacul Roșu', was created in 1838 by a landslide that dammed the River. A whole Forested slope slid into the water and today the tree trunks still rise above the Lake surface. Afterwards, we continue through the Eastern part of Transylvania arriving in Predeal in the late afternoon. Meals: Breakfast
This morning, we will visit Brașov. This city was founded in the 13th Century by the Knights of the Teutonic Order and for Centuries it was an economic and intellectual centre of the Saxons, who represented most of the population until the 19th Century. The most interesting sights are the Black Church famous for its Pipe Organ, the Medieval City Wall around the Historical Old Town with stylish late Medieval houses, the Town Hall Square, the unique Rope Street, the Citadel Gate and the small hidden Orthodox Church from the centre. Also visit the Fortified Church from Hărman, where in addition to the religious practice, this place was also used by the locals as a retreat and defence building. Later that afternoon we return to Predeal. Meals: Breakfast
This morning, we travel to Bran (Dracula Castle). The Castle was built in the 14th Century and served the inhabitants of nearby Brașov as a defence system against the Ottomans. The romantic Castle, nowadays a Museum, during the Interbellum Period the residence of the Romanian Queen Maria. Visit of Peleș Castle (exterior visit), the Summer residence of the Royal Family. In 1866, the first King of the Hohenzollern Family came to Romania and decided to build a Castle in Sinaia on the banks of the Peleș river, in the German Renaissance style, so that it would remind him of his home country. In the late afternoon we arrive in Bucharest. This evening, enjoy a festive dinner with folklore program in 'Hanu' lui Manuc'. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
In the morning, enjoy a Panoramic Tour of the Romanian Capital. You will visit the Cathedral of the Salvation of the People, the largest Orthodox Church building in Romania, which is fascinating with its impressive dimensions and modern architecture. Afterwards, drive to the Palace of Parliament for a photo stop. This monumental building is considered the second largest Administrative building in the World and impresses with its imposing façade. Next, we visit the Village Museum, a unique Open-Air Museum featuring traditional Houses, Churches and Farms from all regions of the Country, offering a vivid insight into Romanian Folk culture. Finally, you will be transferred to the Airport where you will bid farewell to your Romanian Tour Guide for your onward journey. Meals: Breakfast
