Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning. After breakfast, depart on a 3 Hr tour of Helsinki. Depart in a private first class vehicle, accompanied by your authorised Local Guide. Helsinki, the Capital of Finland, is also known as the 'Daughter of the Baltic Sea'. This tour includes Senate Square, the University and the Lutheran Cathedral, all fine examples of 1840's Neoclassical architecture as well as the colourful Market Square by the sea at the South Harbour, Kaivopuisto Park and the diplomatic residences, the impressive Statue of Marshal Mannerheim, the Parliament Building, Finlandia Hall, the Russian Orthodox Uspenski Cathedral and the Sibelius Monument. The tour also includes a visit to Temppeliaukio Church (no entrance), known as the 'Rock Church', as it is carved directly into solid rock. Afterwards, return to the hotel for your overnight stay. After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the Railway Station to board the Train to Oulu. Upon arrival in Oulu, make your way to the Hotel for check-in. Afterwards, depart on an Oulu City Tour. Meet your Guide for a panoramic tour through Oulu’s monumental, historic and modern districts. The tour includes cultural highlights such as the Oulu Museum of Art and the Music Centre, as well as key innovation areas like Technopolis, the University of Oulu and the University Hospital (entrances not included). During the visit, you will hear stories about the Tar Merchants, Shipbuilders, Sailors and Salmon Fishermen who have shaped the City’s history. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon free at leisure. Shared Optional Excursion: Northern Lights Hunt in Koiteli The Northern Lights Hunt takes place in the beautiful Koiteli area, located approximately a 30 minute drive from the centre of Oulu. Set along the Kiiminkijoki River, Koiteli provides the perfect setting for an outdoor experience in an exclusive and welcoming atmosphere. The name 'Koiteli' comes from the Sámi language and means 'in the middle'. In this unique location, Guests will enjoy a charming and memorable dining experience on an Island nestled between two rapids. Guests are welcomed into a cosy cabin with a large fireplace, ideal for relaxing and enjoying a delicious three course dinner. During the evening, your Guide will share insights into Finnish nature, the Koiteli area and the fascinating Northern Lights phenomenon. After dinner, there will be an excellent opportunity to observe and search for the Northern Lights with the assistance of a professional guide. You will visit a Reindeer Farm, where you will have the opportunity to see and feed the Reindeer and learn more about their way of life. Afterwards, enjoy a traditional lunch, which is included. Shared Optional Ice Floating Tour: Immerse yourself in an icy lake beneath the Northern Lights and let your mind relax. Sounds unusual, doesn’t it? Tonight, it’s possible. This Guided Activity is completely safe thanks to a high quality survival suit that covers your entire body and keeps you dry. By wearing your own clothes underneath, you won’t feel cold, even in open water at 0°C. The setting is truly Arctic. If the sky is clear, you may see beautiful stars and, with a bit of luck, witness the stunning Northern Lights. In the evening, please return the thermal equipment to the Hotel Reception. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing for Ruka. In the morning, we will visit Ranua Zoo (80 km – approx. 1 Hour). You will enjoy an engaging tour where you can observe a variety of animals and birds. We will begin with several species of Owls (Snowy, Eurasian Eagle Owl, Tawny, etc.), Eagles, Hawks, Ducks and Swans. Next, we will visit the rodent section before heading to the most beautiful part of the Zoo, where Brown and Polar Bears live in natural conditions typical of Northern latitudes. At midday, we will enjoy a self-service lunch at the Zoo’s Restaurant. After lunch, you will have one hour of free time to explore the surroundings, perhaps visit the souvenir shops, the Fazer candy factory workshop or the local Wine shop, which offers unique wines made from Red Berries such as Bilberries, Lingonberries and others. Return to Rovaniemi. Tonight, enjoy a New Year's Eve dinner at the hotel. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Shared Optional Snowmobile Tour: During this Safari, you will learn the basic skills needed to drive a Snowmobile. Before departure, your Guide will provide a full safety briefing and all necessary instructions. After this short introduction, the journey begins through a stunning snow-covered forest. Please Note: Operating a snowmobile in Finland requires a valid driving license issued by a country that is a signatory to the Geneva Convention on Road Traffic.
