The new Acropolis Museum is considered one of the most important archaeological museums in Athens and ranks among the most important museums of the world. For the first time ever all the surviving treasures of the Acropolis will be seen together in one place.
Works currently held in storage or in other museum in Greece and all over the world are now together in one brand new museum close to their original location. The Acropolis museum main attractions such as votives, artefacts of everyday life, statues from archaic period, Caryatids and of course the Parthenon hall with the metopes, the pediments and the frieze will impress you.
Another major exhibit is the remains of the ancient Athenian city that revealed by archaeological excavations on the site of the museum.

Explore with this guided one full day trip from Athens to Argolis the remains of the ancient city of Mycenae a major centre of Greek civilisation from 1600BC to 1100BC and a World Heritage Monument. Depart from our terminal for one day tour via the coastal National highway for the Corinth Canal (short stop).
After the Corinth Canal, you enter the region of Argolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visit the archaeological site, home to the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon. You will see the Cyclopean Walls, the Lion’s Gate, the Royal Tombs, including Agamemnon Clytemnestra's and the Treasury of Atreus, a magnificent 14th Century B.C. structure.
Time will then be taken for a traditional Greek lunch at a nearby restaurant. After lunch we travel from Argos and to Nauplia the first capital of modern Greece with its Venetian Fortress of Palamidi and the fortified islet of Bourtzi (short stop). We continue on to Epidaurus and visit the ancient theatre. We return to Athens in the late afternoon.

Presented in a Greek home, you’ll have the opportunity to taste a variety of sweets such as Ravani, Bougatsa and Amigdalota as well as try plenty of different teas.
