Our first stop is Notre Dame Catholic Cathedral and the French built Post Office, then we see the Reunification (Independence) Palace, War Remnants Museum, which primarily contains exhibits relating to the American phase of the Vietnam War. There will be free time to explore the area of for shopping at Bến Thành Market.

In the morning we take a drive to Cái Bè in the heart of the Mekong Delta. We then wander into the small villages to visit an orchard and fruit plantation. We then continue cruising through a series of small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta before heading back to Sài Gòn.

Your guide will pick up at your hotel to begin the street food walking tour. Sài Gòn is a true culinary master, infact an absolute legend.
Get right down to the soul of this beast of a food city and spend three hours eating like a local. It may seem like non-stop culinary decadence because that’s just what it is. And you’re going to love it.

If your dates of travel fall during Tet, the Vietnamese New Year (Jan 31 – Feb 04, 2022), travellers who are visiting larger cities like Saigon or Hanoi may encounter empty streets and deserted parks as Vietnamese people return to their home town to celebrate the New Year with their families. Most businesses are closed during TET holiday.
